Learn to read Georgian in an afternoon

The classic mistake is printing all 33 letters in alphabetical order and memorizing them as a list. The brain is bad at long sequences of unfamiliar shapes with no meaning attached. Most people get a third of the way through, get tired, and remember six letters two weeks later.

Shapes stick when they are attached to meaning. So the tool never shows you a letter without a word around it: first hidden inside English words you can already read, then in real Georgian words you decode yourself, then on actual shop signs from the streets of Tbilisi. Each level adds three or four letters and immediately puts them to work, and the ear-training rounds make sure the sound goes in with the shape.

One honest warning: the popped consonants and the throaty q' take months to pronounce well, and that is fine. Recognize them, know which ones they are, and move on. Reading unlocks everything else, pronunciation locks in later, over the audio course. The alphabet is the doormat at the entrance of Georgian, not the mountain.
