EasyGeorgian launches a free Language Exchange connecting learners with Georgian native speakers

EasyGeorgian has launched Language Exchange, a free matchmaking service that pairs foreigners learning Georgian with Georgian native speakers who want to practice English. Each pair is matched one to one and introduced by email, with the conversation split half in each language.

The service deliberately avoids the shape of existing exchange apps. There is no feed of profiles, no swiping and no in-app chat. A learner fills in a short profile, the matcher looks for one genuinely fitting partner by level, city, schedule and preferences, and a single email introduces the two with each other’s contact details. The introduction includes conversation missions and a bilingual first-conversation guide, so the hardest part, the first half hour, comes with a script.

“Every exchange app we tried produced a hundred greetings and no conversations,” says Lasse, EasyGeorgian’s founder. “We would rather make one introduction that survives than list a thousand profiles that don’t. If a good match takes a few days, it takes a few days.”

For Georgians, the exchange offers free English practice with a foreigner who is seriously learning Georgian, many of them living in Georgia. The Georgian side signs up in two minutes at easygeorgian.com/enis-gatsvla. For learners, the exchange lives inside the EasyGeorgian app and is free with a free account. Course owners receive priority matching and a Verified Learner badge that their Georgian partner sees in the introduction.

The exchange is free for both sides and independent of EasyGeorgian’s paid courses. It exists because conversation is where a language stops being study material: the platform’s courses build the foundation, and a real Georgian on the other side of the table does the rest.
